Born in El Salvador. Nohemy graduated from Eesaab (École régionale des Beaux-arts de Rennes)
and studied documentary photography at Speos Photographic
Institute (Paris). Settled in Paris, she worked for more than a decade as a book designer and art director and explored the ever changing relations between text and image, and the importance of narrative. Her love of literature and langage made her reconnect with her mother tongue, and she is currently studying Spanish Litterature at the university on her spare time.
Passionate about the rural world, food and nutrition, she now lives in Bretagne with her family.
Holding a deep sensitivity to the impermanence of moment, she explores light, textures and colors in order to record mindful experiences of the mundane. Her personal work focus on the construct of identity and its relation to environment.
She is a member of Coef 180, an active cultural association promoting art in Bretagne.
Nohemy est membre du collectif Coef180, association d'artistes bretons œuvrant pour la promotion de l'art dans la région.
